At Premier Stone Exchange (PSE), we are committed to providing engineered quartz surfaces that meet the highest standards of beauty, durability, and performance. Every slab we distribute is manufactured using approximately 93% natural quartz and 7% premium polymer resins and pigments, creating a surface engineered for exceptional strength, consistency, and lasting value.

Quartz is one of the hardest minerals found in nature, with a Mohs Hardness Rating of 7, providing outstanding resistance to scratches, chips, and everyday residential wear. When properly fabricated, installed, and maintained, Premier Stone Exchange quartz surfaces are designed to deliver years of dependable performance.

Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty

Premier Stone Exchange warrants that its engineered quartz surfaces will be free from manufacturing defects under normal residential use for the lifetime of the original residential purchaser.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Premier Stone Exchange will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the affected material with a comparable product. This warranty is limited to the replacement of the quartz material only and does not include fabrication, installation, removal, transportation, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical work, or any other associated labor or incidental costs unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Warranty Eligibility

This warranty applies only when the material has been:

  • Fabricated by a qualified stone fabricator.

  • Installed in accordance with recognized industry standards.

  • Used solely for normal residential applications.

  • Properly maintained using recommended care practices.

To submit a warranty claim, the following documentation is required:

  • Original fabricator invoice.

  • Original purchase order identifying the Premier Stone Exchange material.

  • Proof of original residential installation.

  • Photographs of the installation and reported issue.

  • Any additional information reasonably requested during the warranty review process.

Premier Stone Exchange reserves the right to inspect the material before determining warranty eligibility.

Fabrication & Installation Requirements

To maintain warranty coverage, all Premier Stone Exchange quartz surfaces must be fabricated and installed in accordance with accepted industry standards and the following minimum requirements.

Interior Corner Radius

All interior corners—including sink cutouts, cooktop cutouts, faucet accessory cutouts, and L-shaped countertop intersections—must have a minimum inside radius of 3/8 inch (10 mm).

Sharp inside corners are prohibited because they create stress concentration points that may result in cracking during fabrication, transportation, installation, or normal use.

Sink & Cooktop Cutouts

To preserve the structural integrity of the countertop:

  • A minimum of 2 inches (50 mm) of material must remain between any cutout and the front or back edge of the countertop.

  • A minimum of 3 inches (75 mm) of material should remain between adjacent cutouts whenever possible.

  • A minimum of 2 inches (50 mm) of material must remain between any cutout and any seam.

  • All cutouts must be smooth, properly polished, and free from chips, notches, or saw marks.

Support Requirements

Quartz countertops must be fully supported throughout installation.

  • Cabinets must be level within 1/8 inch over 10 feet prior to installation.

  • Continuous support must be provided beneath all countertop sections.

  • Overhangs exceeding 10 inches require approved structural support such as steel brackets, corbels, or other engineered reinforcement.

  • Islands, peninsulas, and unsupported spans must be adequately reinforced to prevent flexing or movement.

Seam Placement

Seams shall be located using accepted fabrication practices and shall not be installed:

  • Through sink or cooktop cutouts.

  • Within 2 inches (50 mm) of any cutout.

  • In areas subject to excessive structural stress.

All seams must be properly bonded, structurally sound, and finished flush with the surrounding surface.

Installation Requirements

Prior to installation, the fabricator shall verify:

  • Cabinets are level, plumb, and securely fastened.

  • Countertops are dry-fit before final installation.

  • Adequate structural support is provided throughout the installation.

  • Quartz surfaces are never forced into position or subjected to twisting, bending, or excessive stress.

Care & Maintenance

Premier Stone Exchange quartz is virtually maintenance-free.

For everyday cleaning:

  • Clean with warm water and a mild dish soap.

  • Use a soft microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge.

  • Wipe spills promptly.

  • Always use cutting boards when preparing food.

  • Always use trivets or hot pads beneath cookware removed from the stove or oven.

Avoid:

  • Abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

  • Oven cleaners, paint removers, drain cleaners, or products containing strong acids or alkalis.

  • Excessive impact from heavy objects.

  • Direct exposure to open flames or excessive heat.

Warranty Exclusions

This Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty does not cover:

  • Improper fabrication or installation.

  • Failure to maintain a minimum 3/8-inch inside radius on all interior corners.

  • Insufficient material around sink or cooktop cutouts.

  • Improper seam placement or seam failure.

  • Inadequate cabinetry or structural support.

  • Excessive overhangs without proper reinforcement.

  • Transportation, handling, or storage damage.

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, or impact.

  • Heat damage or thermal shock resulting from direct contact with hot cookware.

  • Chemical damage caused by improper cleaners or solvents.

  • Surface modifications, polishing, refinishing, or repairs performed by parties other than an authorized fabricator.

  • Normal wear, cosmetic changes, or slight color and pattern variations inherent to engineered quartz.

  • Damage caused by building settlement, structural movement, or acts of nature.

Cracks, chips, fractures, or failures resulting from fabrication, installation, transportation, structural movement, or improper use are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under this warranty.

Transferability

This Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original residential purchaser at the original installation location.

Limitation of Liability

Except as expressly stated in this Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty, Premier Stone Exchange makes no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Premier Stone Exchange's maximum liability under this warranty shall be limited solely to the replacement of the defective quartz material, at its sole discretion. Premier Stone Exchange shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to labor, removal, reinstallation, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical work, transportation, loss of use, or any other associated costs, except where prohibited by applicable law.
